Everybody feels tensed while facing interviewers. However, interviews are not supposed to be scary. Daily Punch brings to you some facts from the other side of the bridge to help calm you down! Here are some truths about interviewers that we all need to know:
– He/She is also a normal person with feelings, they are not heartless. It’s just that they’re emotionally intelligent.
– They are also employees hence have bosses they have to report to. They can’t forward a bad candidate in front of them. So you see, it’s not them taking the ultimate decision.
– It’s their job to judge, so it’s okay for them to be judgemental while taking interviews. However, you can’t judge them on how they behave during the interview.
– They are not hitting on you, it’s just that they want you to relax and not be nervous.
– It’s you who determines the recruiter’s decision, so please focus on where you went wrong and not on how biased the interviewer was.
– They feel sad while rejecting too. But it’s their job and any sort of rejection does not make you unskilled; it’s just how the recruitment cycle works!
– The recruiter is not dumb so if he/she asks about what is already there in your resume, it’s just that they want to see how you sell yourself and your communication skills. Please don’t say it’s already mentioned in the resume. It pisses them off.
– They are looking for potential candidates, so any kind of personal questions could be a part of the information required. Please don’t over react!
Feeling better? We hope you are! From now on, feel confident about yourself when appearing for an interview. Remember to walk in with confidence and style and talk impressively as interviewers also judge you on how you walk and talk. Also, present your skills and experience in the best possible way. Good luck!
