Shahid Afridi will embrace the iconic home of cricket one last time tomorrow.
Cricket fans can’t control their excitement as the cricketing summer keeps getting better and better. Lords will host another bunch of superstars, including Afridi, after only recently witnessing a historic Pakistan win vs England.
Lala was initially in the squad to be captained by Eoin Morgan. However an ill timed injury to Morgan has made him captain – an opportunity he relishes.
“It’s a great honour to be leading the ICC World XI side, that too for such a good cause. I’m sure all the players from either side are looking forward to the match with great enthusiasm and people will get to see some high-quality cricket on Thursday.”

The charity match is organised under the #CricketRelief campaign, which looks to raise funds to rebuild and restore five major cricket venues at the heart of Caribbean communities that were damaged by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017.
The World XI will field a host of stars, including Shoaib Malik, Srilankan star Thisara Perera, Sam Billings, Surrey all-rounder Sam Curran and England fast bowler Tymal Mills.
The West Indies side is set to field a strong XI which will include Chris Gayle and Andre Russel.
Fans are excited and appreciate the stars joining hands for such a noble cause. Even the home of cricket is eager to witness them in action.
👏 We look forward to seeing you in action at Lord’s again, Shahid! #LoveLords
