The Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, held meeting regarding the Federal Board of Revenue in Islamabad. It is to be noted that, the meeting took place on Monday in the capital city.
The details about the meeting has been shared by the Caretaker Prime Minister, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, via their official social media handle. During the meeting, the meeting held talks regarding the expansion of the context network and digitizing the tax system.
It is to be noted that, various proposals which are mainly regarding the restructuring of FBR were considered in the meeting. During the meeting, the Caretaker Prime Minister held talks on major topics of concern with the party officials.
While speaking to the meeting participants during the meeting, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, said that, “The revenue collection is the backbone of the economy of the nation.” Noting to this, he further added that, “Many important steps have been taken in the past few days to control smuggling, but more diligent work will have to be done in this regard.”
At the same time, while considering the consultations regarding the improvement of the performance of FBR, PM Kakar, has made directions that all the stakeholders should be consulted regarding the improvement of the performance of FBR and a comprehensive action plan should be presented in this regard in which the suggestions of all relevant institutions should also be included.
The meeting was attended by the caretaker Federal Finance Minister Dr Shamshad Akhtar, Advisor to Prime Minister Ahad Cheema, Chairman FBR, Federal Secretary Finance and other relevant officers.
