“Unfortunately the doctor messed with the wrong women in the wrong family and I will definitely report him! Harassment has 2 stop!” said Sharmeen Oscar winner in her tweet.

The things are changing rapidly so does our norms, while it is nothing wrong to go and search out someone on Facebook and send a friend request or a message, but these things looks normal only in schools, colleges and universities though inappropriate in professional places. However, things get more complicated and unnatural when someone of a senior position or any person who has nothing to do with your personal life, go and send you a friend request on Facebook.

For instance, you went for a check up to a reputable hospital and when you get back home after the treatment, you came a cross your doctor added you on Facebook. Although sending a friend request is not a big deal at all, but just imagine the explicit side of this story. The doctor, who is totally unknown to you, went to check out your medical documents, searched your name and searched you on Facebook and added you there, what would you call this, the unethical gesture of a doctor ? How is this even justified ?

Yes this all sound outlandish, but Sharmeen Obaid’s sister encountered all this in her recent visit to Aga khan hospital for her treatment.

It is quite clear that this thing doesn’t come under the charges of harassment and neither it is a proper or ethical way to get connect with someone. For some it might be normal although it is not, because how a professional doctor went through her clients medical documents just to approach her, disregard of his ethical values and professional behavior. If we ignore all this, the next thing most probably will be every professional would be misusing their clients personal info just to fulfill their lust. There are various circumstances which can automatically lead to severe issues relating to harassment, We can’t ignore this !

What is your verdict on all this ?
