Fawad Khan declining Polio vaccination for his children?
The heart throbber Fawad Khan had a first information report (FIR) filed against him. Reports are that on Wednesday, Fawad’s family refused to give the anti-polio vaccination drops to their daughter.
The complaint was lodged by the administration of an anti-polio team at the Faisal Town police station.
Later it was revealed that six others including the actor Fawad, are on the list of delining the vaccination too. Four of which were at Faisal Town police station while the other two were registered with the Model Town police station.
Prime Minister’s polio taskforce Babar bin Ata stated:
“As per DC Lahore, teams wanted to immunize Fawad’s daughter since yesterday. 1st his driver misbehaved with teams followed by his family. Mr. Fawad is our pride, I request him to allow teams to vaccinate the child. Lahore has had a polio case last week, we must protect the child.”

On the other team, the media team of the actor has come forth rubbishing the reports that suggest otherwise.
And here’s what Fawad’s media team said
Later Fawad’s media team issued a statement saying: It has been widely reported that an FIR has been registered against Fawad Khan stating that he on February 19 interfered with governmental efforts to vaccinate his daughter at his residence. Nothing could be further from the truth as neither of the parents was home at the time of the visit by the anti-polio team.
“Fawad Khan has been outside Pakistan since February 13, where he performed at the PSL opening ceremony in Dubai and is presently in the United States. His travel history clearly demonstrates the manufactured nature of the FIR and he has just come to know of the FIR through the press.” statement added.
“Fawad Khan fully supports the anti-polio drive and is very well aware of the guidelines of WHO and CDC. The vaccination of Fawad’s daughter is up to date and the record there to support the same is available,” stated further.
“Fawad reserves the right for appropriate legal redress, including all such remedies against any damages caused by this event, should the FIR not be canceled,” concluded the statement.
The country’s first National Polio Campaign 2019 began earlier last month and aims to eradicate the Polio disease by vaccinating over eight million children aged below five.
