On the other hand, according to the update shared by the Government of Dominica, eleven million dollars has been cost on the Layou Road project. The Layou Restoration and Reconstruction Project count this road as its third component. The authorities expect it to be completed and operational within a year. This route will connect the Hillsborough Bridge and the York Valley Bridge, two of the country’s major bridges.
They also further updated that the four-kilometre road’s rehabilitation and reconstruction, and some of the river draining work, will be performed in two phases of the road project.
