Hassan Shehryar Yasin aka HSY

Who doesn’t know HSY aka Hassan Shehryar Yasin in Pakistan? Everyone does, he is a very well know Pakistani fashion designer. He made it to Tv screen too as he is a show host on Hum Tv. Recently HSY came to Samina Peerzada’s show which is “Speak Your Heart With Samina Peerzada” in which Hassan shared some shocking stories that many of us had no idea about.

He shared his childhood phase where his mother got divorced when he was 2 years old and they left for Dubai and after that, his mother with him went to New York and he spent his whole childhood there. He said that

“In difficult times you don’t only face the difficulties of money but the distance from your loved ones too”

As his sister got separated when he was around seven and they reunite when he was 16. Hassan also shared why he has such an accent, I learned Urdu when I was 16 years old he said.

He shared how he worked at pace as a checkout boy. He used to give tuitions also, even painted homes and carried bricks.

Finally, he told a story about his blindness that once he was in a car on the way to his school where he met an accident. In that, he lost his eyesight.

“Instead of taking the glass out of my eyes, they compressed it and the glass got stuck and I had 16 surgeries to get my eyesight back”

“Red is the color of life for me because when I got my eyesight back this was the only color I was able to see”

His love for his family and every bit of the story was so inspiring. We hope he keeps making Pakistan proud.
