The Ministry of Infrastructure, Ports, Transport, Physical Development and Urban Renewal of Saint Lucia on Monday has made an update on Monday informing that the Division of Transport’s Union and Vieux Fort Offices will be closed to the public.
In the notice, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Ports, Transport, Physical Development and Urban Renewal announced that, “The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport wishes to inform the public that the Division of Transport’s Union and Vieux Fort offices will be closed to the public on the ’13-01-2023 on Friday’ and ’16-01-2023 on Monday.’
They further added that, “This closure is in order to facilitate staff members’ participation during the final training session of digiGov’s vehicle e-service module, and the migration of data to the new system.
It further noted that, “In the interim, driver related transactions can be conducted via the digiGov portal (www.digigov.gov.lc), but customers should expect processing delays.”
“The division of Transport will resume regular operations on Tuesday, January 17th, 2023, and Service Bureau Agents (SBAs) will be available to help and assist the members of the public,” added the Infrastructure Department.
The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport have further expressed regrets for any inconvenience caused as a result of the closure. They further added that the public is assured however that the addition of the vehicles e-services module to the digiGov platform forms part of the Government of Saint Lucia’s continued efforts to improve the services quality which is delivered to the public.”
