Keira Knightley being a mother decided something for her daughter
The 33-year-old actress Keira Knightley explained in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres that why she don’t let her 3-year-old daughter watch Cinderella. Upon asking why she banned Cinderella for her? The Pirates of the Caribbean star in her reply said; “She waits around for a rich guy to rescue her.”
She also added: “Don’t. Rescue yourself. Obviously.”
Not just Cinderella, Keira also banned 1989’s the “Little Mermaid” for her daughter Edie as well. “And this is the one that I’m quite annoyed about because I really like the film, but Little Mermaid is banned too”.
“That one’s a little tricky—but I’m keeping to it; I mean, the songs are great, but do not give your voice up for a man. Hello!.” she said.
But Keira cleared that not all the princess are out, some are in too and the list includes Frozen, Moana and dory.
“Frozen is huge. Moana, totally fine,” said Knightley.
According to her, these new movies show women in power and standing up for themselves and not just co-dependent on male characters.
She was on the show for the promotion of her upcoming Disney movie “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms”,
