Kevin Pietersen famous England cricket star in an Instagram post shared that this PSL 2018 will be his last tournament as a professional career as a cricketer. He posted an image of him hugging his son before leaving for Dubai to be a part of PSL2018, the post said “Countless goodbyes to @jessicalibertyx & my kids as a cricket player & this one this evening is the last one I’ll ever have to do.
I’ve hated every goodbye but also known it’s work so just gotten on with it.
The journey has been absolutely amazing & for the next 3/4 weeks I’ll be a current professional & then it’s chapter closed!
Had my time & loved it but the endless goodbyes & travel needs to calm down now.
Cricket has been the best!”.

KP has been a part of Quetta Gladiators since the season 1 of PSL and have played a huge role in turning Quetta Gladiators into a brand his hard hitting innings helped the Gladiators reach the finals of PSL1 anad PSL2 although he was unable to play the PSL2017 final in Lahore last year but his efforts to connect with the Pakistani audiences have been received with great affection and respect.

With a strike rate 137 in 185 T20 innings KP scored 5540 runs which included 213 huge sixes. He played 37 T20Is for the England cricket team and maintained an average of 37 runs per innings. He was forced out from his national team after having a rift with his then captain Andrew Straus and was never included back to the England team again.

We all wish KP best for his future endeavors he has for sure provided the cricket fans around the world with great joy and thrilling cricket and it will be hard to say goodbye to KP.
