Mahira Khan the sensational Pakistani star is in London these days to make her presence at UK Asian Film Fest. The festival started yesterday and will go on for 10 days.
At the opening ceremony, she was presented with the Activism and Film award for her major contributions for the film industry. Like always, Mahira dedicated her award to her only son, Azlaan. Dressed up in trendy black and golden saari, she was very pleased to receive this award and showed gratitude towards hosts.
“Thank you. I’m going to keep it short, Like you said, if my son is being overlooked (because of my work)? I always ask my son about what should I say? Should I thank you? And he would always respond, ‘Please don’t thank me.’ So, I hope someone is recording this!”
The UK Asian Film fest is celebrating its successful 20 years of promoting South Asian films through hosting a event of 12 days long in major cities of UK. The event supports the independent South Asian films and present their screenings at the event.
Mahira Khan was also spotted with the team of upcoming Pakistani film Cake. Cake starring Amina Shaikh, Sanam Saeed and Adnan Malik had a premier at the event last night. The cast of the Cake also posed with the award wining Mahira Khan.
