The Minister of the Housing, Land and Urban Development of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Melissa Poponne Skerrit, on Wednesday has paid visit to the students from the National Assessment Champions Class, who are going to sit in the exams.
Minister Melissa Skerrit also shared the glimpses of the meeting over her official social media handle. In the social media post, she has also shared the aim behind visiting the students, which she added is to provide the supplies that are required for the exams along with a few treats.
It is to be noted that, Minister Skerrit while sharing the photos of the meeting with the students, added that, “I visited students from my National Assessment Champions class, who will be sitting exams to give a pep talk and provide supplies needed for the exams along with a few treats!”
Along with this, she also shared that from the time since the inception of the programme 3 years ago, Dominica have captured the scholarships within the top 10 on the island. Noting to which, she added that, “I am so proud to say that since the inception of this program 3 years ago, we have captured scholarships within the top 10 on island.”
At the same time, Minister Skerrit has also extended best wishes to the students for the upcoming exams adding that, “And this year is no different, as our national assessment champions are confident and ready to ace! Best of luck to all students across the island in your exams!! You’ve got this!!”
Notably, it is also among one of the plans initiated by the government of Dominica, considering the policies on the way towards achieving developmental goals. The government of Dominica is also introducing several policies in an attempt to boost the education sector of the country.
