There are less than 4 days until next year. 2018 is already like a great year for movies.

During these expensive theater going times, it’s important to be selective and we’ve chosen the 10 movies that we’re looking forward to next year.

Here are all the ten most highly anticipated movies to get riled up for next year 2018.

Insidious: The Last Key

Director: Adam Robitel

Starring: Lin Shaye, Leigh Whannell, Angus Sampson

Release Date: Jan 5

In the supernatural thriller, which welcomes back franchise standout Lin Shaye as Dr. Elise Rainier, the brilliant parapsychologist faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet: in her own family home.

Black Panther

Director: Ryan Coogler

Starring: Chadwick Boseman, Michaek B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o

Release Date: Feb 16

Black Panther became one of our favorite MCU heroes the moment he burst onscreen in Captain America: Civil War. Next year, he finally gets a solo film worthy of a king. Ryan Coogler is directing this one, If you’ve seen Creed or Fruitvale Station, you know what he is capable of and what he is come up with is a vision of an Afrofuturist paradise that looks like nothing else at the multiplex in recent memory.

Annihilation

Director: Alex Garland

Starring: Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Oscar Isaac

Release Date: Feb 23

The producer drama and the timid release strategy aren’t super encouraging. This is still a movie written and directed by Alex Garland , based on the award-winning sci-fi novel by Jeff VanderMeer, and featuring Natalie Portman, Oscar Isaac, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tessa Thompson, and Gina Rodriguez among its cast. Needless to say, we’re all in.

A Wrinkle in Time

Director: Ava DuVernay

Starring: Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherpoon, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pine

Release Date: March 9

Ava DuVernay’s first narrative feature since Selma looks like nothing she is done before and we cannot wait to see what she makes of a rich sci-fi premise and the nine-figure budget to bring it to life. With a cast that includes Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, and, of course, Storm Reid as the brave young heroine, this one looks as unforgettable as its source material.

Solo: A Star Wars Story

Director: Ron Howard

Starring: Emilia Clarke, Alden Ehrenreich, Paul Bettany

Release Date: May 25

Solo had a rough go of it in 2017, losing directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller to “creative differences” in the middle of production. Here is hoping new director Ron Howard was able to right the ship, because let’s be honest nothing’s gonna keep us from checking out this one.

Ocean’s 8

Director: Gary Ross

Starring: Samantha Cocozza, Olivia Munn, Cate Blanchett

Release Date: June 8

As we already knew from wildly early promotion and super cool trailer, Ocean’s 8 stars an all-star ensemble cast of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina, Sarah Paulson, and Helena Bonham Carter.

Mamma Mia!: Here We Go Again

Director: OI Parker

Starring: Lily James, Meryl Streep, Cher, Jeremy Irvine, Dominic Cooper

Release Date: July 20

There is a pretty high chance that Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is going to be a mess, and an even higher chance that we’re going to enjoy the hell out of it. You know, just like with the first one. Meryl Streep’s character may be dead(?? We think?? It’s unclear!) but there’s a whole new cast of younger stars to know and love.
