The Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar ul Haq Kakar held meeting with the Prince of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah. The meeting between PM Kakar and Sheikh Al Jaber Al Sabah took place on the outskirts of the Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh.
It is to be noted that the details about the above mentioned has been shared by the Caretaker Prime Minister, Anwar ul Haq Kakar over his official social media handle. Along with this, PM Kakar also shared the glimpses of the meeting over his social media handle.
During the meeting, the leaders from both the participating nations held discussions on the ongoing war in the occupied Palestine and extended their deep concern over the disturbing situation in Gaza with the staggering in death toll and wholesale destruction of civilian infrastructure amidst the ongoing Israeli aggression and siege.
At the same time, they also emphasized on the urgency for a ceasefire, end to the siege and the provision of much required humanitarian assistance to the besieged people of Gaza.
It is to be specifically added that, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar ul Haq Kakar reiterated the longstanding principled position of Pakistan on the Palestine cause for the freedom from the illegal Israeli occupation. During the talks, he also mentioned about the Pakistan’s consistent support for the solution between the two states, in consonance with the relevant UN and OIC Resolutions.
The two leaders also discussed bilateral relations, particularly in the economic and investment fields. The Prime Minister briefed the Kuwaiti Crown Prince about the SIFC and invited Kuwait to look at investment opportunities in Pakistan. The Crown Prince promised to convey this message to the concerned authorities in Kuwait. He also lauded the role of Pakistani diaspora in the development of Kuwait.
