St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew extended his greeting to Minister of Tourism – Marsha Henderson for her tremendous work during the arrival of Icon of the Seas.
While greeting the Prime Minister wrote, “Greetings, yesterday was a proud and iconic moment for our Federation as we welcomed the largest cruise ship to our port, Icon of the Seas.”
PM Drew applauded and added to his words, “I applaud the Hon Marsha T. Henderson, Minister of Tourism and her team for the tremendous work they are doing. This is a great start to the New Year. We look forward to the rest of the 2024 to unfold.”
Prime Minister also attended a ceremony at the Cradles of Learning Centre and added further, “We had the opportunity to tour this impressive iconic cruise ship yesterday, following a beautiful ceremony at which the children of Cradles Learning Centre stole the show and warmed our hearts with a beautiful poem about ‘What St Kitts means to me’.”
Earlier, Prime Minister Drew also extended his wishes to Captain Ludel Harvey who guided the Icon of the Seas. PM wrote in his appreciation, “Congratulations to Captain Ludel Harvey, who successfully guided the largest cruise ship, Icon of the Seas to the shores yesterday. The entire Federation rooted for you and we are proud. Royal Caribbean International”
Icon of the Seas reached at Port Zante on Tuesday, Jan 30, 2024 around 6:00 a.m. early morning. The arrival of the Cruise Ship was streamed live, related to which PM Drew wrote in his previously shared post, “Good Morning! My dear people, here she comes – Icon of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship.”
Prime Minister expressed further, “This is a very proud moment for our Federation. Let’s all make this an epic one. Thanks to Marsha T. Henderson and the Ministry of Tourism for their hard work. Thanks to Royal Caribbean for partnering with us.”
