St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew has grown banana trees and planted them during the COVID-19 lockdown. He shared a photograph of him with the bananas of the trees he planted.
In the shared photograph of PM Drew, he can be seen holding the bananas in the daylight. While sharing the photograph, he wrote, “My banana trees planted during Covid lockdown continue to bear.”

Prime Minister Drew along with the agriculture minister Samal Duggins desires to promote the healthy eating habits among the citizens of St Kitts and Nevis. As bananas are rich in potassium and is a good anti-oxidant.
Earlier on Friday, March 01, 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources held a brief and significant ceremony. The ceremony was held to observe the official re-open of the Old Road Fisheries depot and to serve the people of Old Road and the surrounding communities.
Along with PM Drew, the official ceremony was attended by the officials including Deputy Prime Minister Dr Geoffrey Hanley and Minister of Agriculture Samal Duggins.
