Reema Lagoo, a remarkable Bollywood actress died this Thursday (18th May) at the age of 59. If it was not for her supportive roles alongside superstars like Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan, the films would not receive the same amount of praise as they did. Her career history includes loads of blockbuster movies in the box office and also some great TV series.


Her big break came in 1988 when she played the mother of the leading actress in the romantic hit Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. Some of her outstanding movies include the likes of “Kal Ho Na Ho”, “Ham Sath Sath Hain” and “Ham Apke Hain Kon”.

It All Happened Suddenly!

Lagoo died due to a cardiac arrest last night, according to sources.

According to her son-in-law, she was feeling absolutely fine and it was just like any other day. However, around one in the morning, she complained about feeling a pain in her chest. She was immediately taken to “Kokilaben Hospital”. Despite being provided help quickly, Reema gave up around 3, just before dawn.

Her funeral was held on Thursday morning in Mumbai. Legendary actors such as Rishi Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Kajol along with Kiran Rao, Mahesh Manjerakar and others attended the funeral.reema-funeral-daily-punch

The actress was without a doubt an asset for the Bollywood industry. She had been working in Hindi and Marathi movies since 1979. Her impact on television was massive. No one can ever forget those childhood memories of watching the hilarious “Hum Paanch” and “Tu Tu Main Main” consistently, where her roles proved to be vital for the shows to be successful.





Reema Lagoo will be solely missed for her work in front of the screen. She was praised with tweets from all over Bollywood as the sad news broke on Thursday.
