A mother, a wife and a great tennis player, Serena Williams comeback after the struggling pregnancy journey is proving that she is a fighter. Just 10 months after giving birth to her daughter, #SerenaWilliams made it to the Wimbledon final. Though, she lost the championship today, her swift journey back to the sport is reason enough to celebrate. In her words, she’s ‘just getting started”
Alexis Ohanian, the co founder of the Reddit and William’s husband shared a supportive Instagram post for his wife just after the Wimbledon final on Sunday.
Days after our baby girl was born, I kissed my wife goodbye before surgery and neither of us knew if she would be coming back. We just wanted her to survive—10 months later, she’s in the #Wimbledon final. Congratulations, @angie.kerber. @serenawilliams will be holding a trophy again soon—she’s got the greatest one waiting at home for her. Our family knows she’ll win many more trophies, too. She’s just getting started. And I couldn’t be more proud.
Alexis sweet Instagram message even added, “She’s is just getting started, And i couldn’t be more proud”
However, after the tight Wimbledon final, Serena lost to Kerber 6-3 and 6-3. In her final post match speech, she went emotional and had huge support from crowd alongside her friends Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton.
