Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, the only Pakistani filmmaker who have won Oscar. The filmmaker won the Oscar for her documentary Saving Faces and many more international awards for her work, she has highlighted the atrocities of acid victims and injustice with women in Pakistan.

Her every documentary is highly controversial and debatable but these are also the reason for her success and international recognition. Sharmeen is the only Pakistani filmmaker to bag several international awards for the country.
