Depression is a monster

Depression is something we hardly understand. We have it but we don’t know what to do about it or where to go for help. Just this year young model like Anum Tanoli took her life while fighting the battle. And on Monday another young girl, Rushaan Farrukh gave up to this monster.

Now at this point, what we can do to save our loved ones from it? We can talk. Our media they all play a key role to spread awareness, we have to make more of dramas or films spreading the realness of depression. On the other hand, our society, arrange seminars where the severity the commonness and the solutions of depression and anxiety can be shared. We need group therapies, we need to break the stereotypes about this serious issue which is taking literally lives now.

On the other hand what you can do as an individual? you can be gentle, polite and kind. Just do this, try listening to your friend’s problem without making fun. If they have been ghosted, drop by their home with a donut and a latte and sit with him/her that what’s wrong?

Noticed a friend posting weirdly sad statuses and quotes, dial their number call and talk. Just be there for people around you, pay attention. You might save someone’s life, might give them hope that things will get better.

Now, this part is for the fighters, suffering from it? what you can do for yourself and how you can cope with depression or your anxiety? talk to someone, don’t give up, have faith. Join groups that will help
