Shahid Afridi aka Boom Boom objects to Iqbal day

Former captain of Pakistan’s cricket team Shahid Khan Afridi has an issue with the holiday on November 9th Iqbal day. The closure of educational institutes is not right according to him.

While talking to twitter Boom Boom tweeted and announce the displeasure of the holiday news by saying:

According to Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi, the closure of educational institutions upon the birth anniversary of the legend Allama Iqbal is not right as we should teach our children and youth more about our legend Iqbal and his vision.

“The best tribute to a legendary visionary like Allama Iqbal is by educating children about him!” said Afridi while Addressing his tweet to the Minister of Education Shafqat Mahmood.

Later Shahid Afridi reverted his tweet and said that our educational institutes should hold the sessions in which they should learn about Iqbal’s vision instead of an off because they are the future generation of Pakistan. This would be the best way to tribute Iqbal on his day.

“The best tribute to a legendary personality like Allama Iqbal is by educating children about him! Rather than closing schools on his birth anniversary, should have special Iqbal Day education sessions at schools. This is the best possible tribute. @Shafqat_Mahmood,” he stated.
