Yasir Shah: The leg spinner was born on 2 May 1986 at Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Yasir is a specialist leg spin bowler and known for his googly, leg spin and flippers. He made his test debut for Pakistan against Australia at U.A.E he took 7 wicket in that match.
He has played for numerous domestic and first class teams in Pakistan including – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan A team, Abottabad Rhinos, Pakistan Customs and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited.
In June 2015, while on the tour against Sri Lanka, Shah became the fastest Pakistani bowler to take 50 test wickets in just 9 matches.
In July 2016, Yasir became the first leg spinner to take five wicket haul at oval after the great Mushtaq Ahmed who did this in 1996. He also made the record of the highest wicket-taking bowler in a single match from any Asian side at Lord’s.
On 18 July 2016, Yasir Shah reached World # 1 in ICC Test Bowler’s list. He is the first leg-spinner since Australia’s Shane Warne in 2005 to be ranked No. 1, and the first Pakistan bowler since Mushtaq Ahmed in December 1996.
In his 17th test match against West Indies at Dubai, Yasir Shah took his 100th test wicket and became the 2nd fastest ever to reach this milestone.
He was awarded the P.C.B player of the year award in 2017.
In the ongoing series against Sri Lanka, Yasir achieved another mile stone. He became the fastest spinner to take 150 wickets in test and third fastest overall in the history of test cricket.
