St. Kitts and Nevis: The commissioning of the long awaited Cayon well brought cheerfulness in the country with an announcement for the continuous supply of water. The commissioning ceremony took place yesterday, bringing a wave of happiness in the country.
Such an achievement fulfilled the citizens’ wish of having access to clean and potable water. The Drew led administration made this possible with great efforts and dedication. The unwavering commitment of authorities made the impossible things possible.
For a very long time, the country had water issues, and was the major concern among the people. Water being the basic necessity and valuable element for the functioning of life forms was the biggest requirement of the country.
“The people of Cayon will now have a more consistent supply of water, “ mentioned the Prime Minister.
The consistent supply of water in Cayon would now bring joy among people. By addressing the long-standing water scarcity issues, the labor party has proved its intention of serving the best to its people.
Dr. Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis appreciated the efforts of the Minister of Public Infrastructure, Konris Maynard. “Thanks to Konris GM Maynard and his team, the cabinet and the good people of Cayon,” mentioned the Prime Minister.
Considerably, the commissioning ceremony was initiated by Minister Maynard at the Cabbage tree in Cayon. As well the ceremony was attended by various Ministers that are Deputy PM Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, Minister of Agriculture and Sports Samal Duggins, Minister of Tourism Marsha Henderson, and many others.
The Prime Minister shared the glimpses from the ceremony in which the students of Cayon Primary and Cayon High School, along with the ministers of the country are seen having water. This significant mark of fulfillment is beyond the level.
Significantly, the water which will be supplied from the well meets all the requirements for drinking quality and safe water given by the World Health Organization (WHO). And, the head of water services department, Cromwell Williams presented the facts through the reports that the testing of water which will be supplied is exceptionally great.
And, the water has a pH level of 7.4 that marks the pure water value. No harmful bacteria contained by the water further ensures the well-being of the people of the country.
