Saint Lucia: The Deputy Prime Minister – Ernest Hilaire, congratulated the recently crowned Miss OECS Pageant 2024, Claire Marissa Smartt.
While congratulating her, the Deputy PM wrote on his official social media page, “Congratulations to our very own Claire-Marissa Smartt on her crowning at the Miss OECS Pageant 2024.”
Hilaire praised Claire as she represented Saint Lucia in the contest, “You represented Saint Lucia with great poise, composure and dedication.”
Extending the greetings, he further added, “Congratulations and soak in all the joys of your success. We are proud of you.”
Claire-Marissa Smartt of Saint Lucia was crowned as Miss OECS 2024 on Jan 12 at the stage of the pageant organised in Dominica.
Marissa Smartt was also recognized for Best in Creative National Wear, Best Swimwear, Best in Swimwear, Best in Evening Wear and Best Promotional Video.
While Claire-Marissa Smartt was crowned as Miss OECS, Adicia Burton of Dominica was the first runner-up. Burton was also awarded for Best Creative National Wear, Best Evening Wear and Best Response to Question.
Thyana Kai Sebastian of Antigua was crowned as second runner-up and was also recognized for Best Performing Talent.
Despite the crowned winners, other contestants were also honoured with various titles, such as Miss Grenada. Amonai Francis was recognised as Miss Amity.
Following the congratulatory post, citizens of Saint Lucia also appreciated the winner and filled the comment section with greetings.
A social media user, Cyrina Charles, commented, “Congratulations, our very own Miss OECS.” The user also shared a congratulatory gif with the comment.
Another user, Julian D. Charles, wrote, “Excellent, Congratulations!”
Natasha Mitchell from Castries wrote, “Congrats, my darling.”
CEO of Theobalds and Associates, Tedburt Theobalds, also greeted the winner and wrote, “Congratulations and best wishes for the future.”
Ray Henry-Wynne commented, “You have done your 758 proud. Congratulations Claire-Marissa, your hard work and dedication paid off.”
