The following incident took place on the Sunday evening at the very busy and overcrowded area of Taksim Square Street. The blast has claimed the lives of at least six civilians and left over 80 injured.
People of Istanbul have called it as the “darkest day in the history of Istanbul,” as they have stated that they have never seen such a dangerous explosion ever before.
Following the explosion, the families of the victims, who were injured or dead rushed to the spot to look for their loved ones.
Meanwhile, the government authorities have ordered investigative teams and other agencies to thoroughly scrutinize the matter and ensure that the key accused must be punished according to the law.
At the same time, nobody has so far claimed the responsibility for the attack. But, the government on the other hand has ensured that the person who has committed this crime will be punished accordingly, and it will surely set up as an eye-opening example for the other terrorist organization who are or will plan for any further attack on Turkey.
