Saint Lucia: The Government of Saint Lucia has notified the general public about the significant changes and hike in international oil prices. It also informed about the application of the Government related to the modified market pass-through petroleum pricing mechanism.
The changes were made in the retail price of Kerosene, the LPG 100 lb cylinder and LPG Bulk (wholesale). Meanwhile, the retail price of gasoline, diesel, and LPG 20 lb and 22 lb cylinders were not changed.
The changes in the price of fuels were implemented from Monday, December 11, 2023.
The prices of the following fuels at present are:
- Price of Gasoline is not changed. It is available at the price of $3.63 per litre and $16.50 per gallon.
- Price of Diesel also remains unchanged. It is available at the price of $3.63 per litre and $16.50 per gallon.
- The price of Kerosene is decreased from $2.78 per litre to $2.58 per litre and $12.63 per gallon to $11.72 per gallon.
- The LPG cylinder of 20 lb (9.07 kg) is now subsidized at $18.39 per cylinder.
- The LPG cylinder of 22 lb (9.98kg) is subsidized at $20.23 per cylinder.
- Price of 20-pound (9.07 kg) cylinder is not changed are still available at $39.30 per cylinder.
- Price of 22-pound (9.98 kg) cylinder remains unchanged and are available at $43.22 per cylinder.
- Price of 100-pound (45.36 kg) cylinder increased from $284.45 to $288.43 per cylinder.
- Price of Bulk (wholesale) LPG cylinder increased from $2.71 per pound to $2.75 per pound.
Reportedly, the officials have informed the public that the next retail price adjustments of fuel products will be announced on Monday, January 01, 2024.
The adjustments were made in the international fuel prices according to the changes in the global market. The price hike for LPG cylinders is much higher than that of other fuels. Whereas, the decrease in the price of Kerosene is less.
