St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew visited the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi. During his most recent visit to Dubai, UAE the minister became the first CARICOM leader to get honoured with this opportunity.
PM Drew shared the moments of his visit to the temple in which he can be seen wearing a Garland and a priest applying vermillion on his forehead. He had a great time while receiving blessings there and witnessed the unique architectural design of the temple.
At the temple, Prime Minister Drew spent time with Brahmavihari Swami, who is the leader of the international relations for the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha Hindu organisation. The priest introduced him to the Temple and to the other fellow deities.
Dr. Terrance Drew appreciated the initiative of UAE, of gifting the land for the BAPS Temple. He highlighted that it demonstrates its commitment towards inclusivity and tolerance which is a great example for all.
BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi is the first stone-constructed Hindu Temple in the Middle East which is a pure symbol of Love, Peace and Harmony.

BAPS (stands for Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha) Hindu Mandir is the first one to be built in Abu Dhabi, using the traditional Indian Techniques.
Open to people of all faiths, the temple was inaugurated officially inaugurated on February 14, 2024 by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and was officially opened on February 18, 2024.
Unique design of the temple features 14 tales from the ancient civilizations across the globe that mainly includes the Arab World and China and highlights the universality of faith.
The temple is located in the Abu Mureikha area of Abu Dhabi along Al Taf Road – E16 and costed US $84.2 million to build it.
