The Deputy Prime Minister of the Saint Lucia as well as Member of Parliament for Castries South, Dr Ernest Hilaire on Sunday has extended greetings to the Saint Lucian sprinter Julian Alfred on securing another win at the Texas Invitational.
It is to be noted that the Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Dr Ernest Hilaire took it to his official social media handle for sharing the post, which was shared by the Communications Officer at the Youth Economy Agency of Saint Lucia, Terry Finisterre.
While extending the congratulations to the Saint Lucian sprinter, Julian Alfred, he said that, “10.95 wins the women’s 100m at the Texas Invitational for Julien Alfred (Saint Lucia × Texas). With a legal wind (+1.8 m/s), it’s the fastest performance by a collegiate woman this year, and 5th fastest in the world.”
It is to be noted that the renowned sprinter of Saint Lucia, Julian Alfred, keeps on continuing her record breaking strike. Notably, on March 11 as well, she won a pair of gold medals at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship, which has taken place in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Noting to which, sprinter Julian Alfred has broken her own 60 m collegiate record that she set on Friday with a noted time of 6.94 seconds. She had earlier broken the record with a noted time of 6.97 seconds at the Big 12 Conference Championships that took place around two weeks ago, in Lubbock, Texas.
During the same time, the Saint Lucian sprinter was not done yet, as she set the track on fire by breaking another 200 m collegiate record with a timing of 22.01 seconds after around 40 minutes after breaking the 60 m collegiate record.
