Do-Nation Foundation Inc., the lead organization for Good Deeds Day Saint Lucia, with Diane Felician as the official Leader for Saint Lucian Good Deeds Day, to collaborate with other volunteer organizations to form the Good Deeds Day Saint Lucia Planning Committee.
The Committee includes a cross-section of society, not limited to the media, who will join forces to spread the word of the significance of Volunteerism and Doing Good ahead of Good Deeds Day 2023, to be observed on April 16, 2023.
The Caribbean theme for Good Deeds Day 2023 is “Pass The Goodness Around.”
Meanwhile, the government of Saint Lucia has made an announcement that, “All over the world, hundreds of thousands of people choose to volunteer & help others, putting into practice the simple plan that every single person can do something good, be it large or small, to improve the lives of others & positively change the world.”
Moreover, the government has announced that, “Good Deeds Day unites people from around the world to do good for the benefit of others and the planet. Since 2007, millions of people from thousands of business, non-profits, schools, families and individual good doers have participated. Close to 3.9 million people in 108 nation take part, amounting to around 8 million hours of volunteering.”
Moreover, Saint Lucia will also be joining nations from around the world including other Caribbean nations, like Dominica, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, St Kitts and Nevis as well as Guyana.
The government of Saint Lucia has further added that, “As we have seen over and over again, volunteerism and goodness is needed to build and save our communities. There is a greater need for our service as the days and months go by. Therefore, we are making a national call for all citizens to come together to Do Good not just for a day, but a lifetime! “
