Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit during the past weekend held meeting with a delegation from IsraAid, which included Meira Aboulafia, Chairperson IsraAID Global Board, Yotam Polizer, IsraAID CEO, Naama Gorodischer, IsraAID Global Chief Humanitarian and Resilience Officer and Amy Rosenblatt Lui, Executive Director, Beverly Foundation.
PM, Dr Skerrit took it to his official social media handle to share the update among the general public, along with the pictures with the delegation team, adding that, “I met this past weekend with a delegation from IsraAID, which included Meira Aboulafia, Chairperson IsraAID Global Board, Yotam Polizer, IsraAID CEO, Naama Gorodischer, IsraAID Global Chief Humanitarian and Resilience Officer and Amy Rosenblatt Lui, Executive Director, Beverly Foundation.”
Moreover, Dr Skerrit has further emphasized that the delegation team was in Dominica to observe Dominica’s model or resilience and identify opportunities for further collaborations.
To which, PM Skerrit noted that, “The delegation was in Dominica to observe our model of resilience and identify opportunities for further collaboration.”
At the same time, PM Skerrit also highlighted that, “I welcomed the opportunity to reiterate our gratitude for IsraAID’s extraordinary support of Dominica since the passage of Hurricane Maria, in particular, its assistance to the Ministry of Education to build capacity, promote disaster risk reduction strategies and strengthen school emergency operations plans. “
Meanwhile, during the meeting, Andrea Lee-Zucker, IsraAID US Board Member, Jonathan Barsade, IsraAID US Board Member, Nicole King, IsraAID Dominica Country Director and Dominica’s Minister for Health, Wellness and Social Services, Cassanni Laville were among those present.
