Ministry of Public Works, Utilities & Digital Economy of Dominica started Digital Literacy Skill Training under the Caribbean Digital Transformation Project. Ministry started this training programme in collaboration with Youth Development Division.
While telling about the programme, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit tweeted, ” More opportunities are opening up under the Caribbean Digital Transformation Project to provide you with digital skills for employability.”
Digital Literacy Training will start on February 3, 2023, Tuesday. The programme will end on Thursday, the timings of the programme will be from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
This training will help the youth to learn new skills, after which they can try to get employment.
The different skills that this programme will enhance are-:
USE ICT TO INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY
Learn which Information Technology tools best suit work tasks. Learn the best approach to using Information Technology tools. Understand Information Technology security.
LEARN PRESENTATION SOFTWARE
Enter text, back ground music & graphics into presentation slides. Prepare a slide show presentation.
LEARN SPREADSHEET SOFTWARE
Enter, Edit, & Organize numerical data. Learn how to use appropriate formulas & data analysis tools.
LEARN WORD PROCESSING
Enter, Format, & Organize Text Data. Prepare Reports and Professional documents using Microsoft Word.

-Mahaut Primary School
-Vielle Case Resource
-Centre Capuchin Resource Centre
-Grand Bay Youth Centre
-Bense Resource Centre
-Jones Beaupierre Primary School
-Delices Primary School
-St.Cyr Resource Centre
The Government of Dominica will charge no fee for registration. So that more youth should join this Digital Literacy Training. It also provided contacts for any queries regarding the training.
