Cricket West Indies has made an official announcement on the match schedule and venues for the most awaited West Indies vs India’s Men Series during the month of July and August & Dominica will be hosting one of the matches.
The series will begin with two Test matches as a part of the 2023-2025 ICC World Test Championship, and Windsor Park in Dominica will be hosting the first Test match from July 12-16.
While hosting the media conference in May, PM Roosevelt Skerrit made an announcement that the West Indies Cricket Board has written to the Dominica government inviting it to submit a bid for hosting the Test march, to which the government agreed. Announcing the official schedule, CEO of CWI, Johnny Graves said that, “We are delighted to be able to confirm the schedule and venues for the highly anticipated visit by India.”
Skerrit added that the government will be making contribution of USD250,000 to the CWI for Dominica to host the Test.
Whereas, the second Test match will be played at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad, will be historic, marking the 100th Test match played between the two teams.
Graves added that, “One of the highlights will be the 100th Test at the Queen’s Park Oval and this promises to be a fantastic occasion as we are celebrating this historic event between the two(2) proud cricketing nations.”
He added that the Windies team are also looking ahead for hosting India in the white ball fixtures as well as welcoming fans from across the region & the United States.
