The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit on Monday held meeting with the principals of secondary schools to hold discussion on proposed review of the curriculum for enhancing teaching & learning in the schools across the island nation of Dominica.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, took it to his official social media handle to share the update among the general audience along with the glimpses of the meeting.
In the social media post, Dr Skerrit noted that, “I met earlier today with secondary school principals to discuss a proposed review of the curriculum to enhance teaching and learning in our schools.”
Notably, during the meeting, PM Skerrit emphasized upon the measures that he has discussed during the recently held Crime and Violence Symposium in Trinidad. During that symposium, PM highlighted the demand for making reforms in the education system of the region.
During the meeting, PM Skerrit also highlighted the same measures and methods which he has discussed during the symposium, adding that, “The meeting follows the recently held Crime and Violence Symposium in Trinidad where I stressed the need for reform of the region’s education systems to promote a greater focus on the wellbeing and holistic development of our children.”
The following meeting came following the recent plans made by the government to introduce necessary steps required to boost the development of the children by focusing on bolstering the education and schooling system across the island nation of Dominica.
Alongside, the Prime Minister of Dominica, during the meeting, has put focus upon the Mission of the Ministry of Education, which states “Educate & Prepare all Students to Live Productive Lives in Complex and Changing Society.” Referring to which, PM Skerrit mentioned that, “I look forward to further engagement on the matter as we develop new, relevant structures and approaches to “Educate & Prepare all Students to Live Productive Lives in a Complex and Changing Society,” as stated in the Mission of the Ministry of Education.”
