The government of Saint Lucia has made an announcement that the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority will be hosting the official launching of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival, at the Pigeon Island National Landmark.
While briefing the post-Cabinet press conference, Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Dr Ernest Hilaire, said that, “This week indeed will be an amazing one as we see the launching of the revamped Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival. The arts component will be a vital part of the festival, as well as all of the other creatives who will get a chance in showing their talents on an international stage.”
Earlier this day, the minister met with the agencies, which are responsible for the approval of mass crowd events in Saint Lucia to explore more efficient ways for the event promoters to host activities.
He added that, “As we are gearing up for Jazz, Carnival, Emancipation, Jounen Kweyol & all our other festivities, we must assure that the safety of all patrons & the wider public are protected. The event sector is growing & is becoming a major part of the Creative Industries, thus it is required to provide an enabling environment.”
The government of Saint Lucia has also announced about the official launching of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival, which will officially begin at 6:30 PM. The event will also be broadcasted LIVE on the National Television Network (NTN), channel 122, & through the Government of Saint Lucia’s Facebook & YouTube pages.
