St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew discussed the current security landscape and strategic responses of St. Kitts and Nevis with the officers of the Police Force. He held a proper meeting and retreated his commitment to reinforcing national safety.
Reportedly, PM Drew has recently returned from the overseas engagements in UAE on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 and arranged the gathering, where he met with the Commissioner of Police of Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force – James Sutton and Commander Lieutenant of St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) – Colonel J. Anthony Comrie.
The meeting mainly aimed to reinforce the commitment of the government of St. Kitts and Nevis to maintain the national safety and improve the responses towards the criminal activities.
At the gathering, Prime Minister Drew was joined by the Attorney-General – Garth Wilkin and Glenroy Blanchette and went there as Permanent Secretary in Ministry of National Security.
Moreover, the high-level discussions were based on evaluating the latest updates and enhancing the strategic measures that are necessary to combat the crimes effectively, in the St. Kitts and Nevis.
Emphasising upon the proactive stance of the government, Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew stated that after returning back to his nation, it was imperative for him to immediately assess the national security situation.
PM Drew said, “My discussions were relevant with the security bodies and have reinforced our resolve to implement robust and dynamic strategies that address the current challenges.”
The prime minister mentioned that the safety and security of the citizens remain the top priority and is committed to ensuring a peaceful and secure environment for all.
