St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew met with the President of Cricket West Indies (CWI) – Dr Kishore Shallow in a gathering on Wednesday, March 06, 2024. At the meeting he was accompanied by the Minister of Sports – Samal Duggins.
PM Drew announced about the same through his official social media handle, he wrote, “Minister of Sports Hon. Samal Duggins and I engaged with the President of Cricket West Indies (CWI), Dr Kishore Shallow in a brief meeting today.”
Prime Minister mentioned that Dr Shallow was there to host the CG United Women’s Super50 Cup and T20 Blaze regional tournaments, “Dr Shallow is here as St Kitts and Nevis is currently hosting the CG United Women’s Super50 Cup at Warner Park, the Conaree Cricket Centre and St Paul’s Sports Complex from 4 to 25 March and the T20 Blaze regional tournaments at Warner Park from 17 to 25 March.”
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis has also shared the photographs of him meeting with the President Shallow with Sports Minister Samal Duggins.
At the meeting, PM Drew, Minister Duggins and President Shallow also met and spoke with various cricketing officials which included the West Indies lead women’s selector Ann Browne – John and President of the St Kitts Cricket Association – Dennis Phillip.
As per the sources, the CG United Super50 Cup matches will be played at three selected venues which are Warner Park, the Conaree Cricket Centre and St Paul’s Sports Complex that will be observed from March 4 to 25, 2024 with the 50 over matches that begins at 10 a.m.
Whereas, the T20 Blaze will feature five full days of entertainment for the fans from March 17 to 25, 2024 at the Warner Park. Every single day three matches will be observed that will begin at 10 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
The other teams which will be playing are the Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago Red Force Divas, Guyana, Jamaica, Windward Islands and hosts Leeward Islands
