The Regional Integration Unit of the Prime Minister’s office of Saint Lucia, has extended invitations to all the eligible participants in the Logo Competition.
The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) on Wednesday has made an announcement that the winning Slogan from the recently organized Slogan Competition which is based on CARICOM’s 50th Anniversary “50 Years Strong: A Solid Foundation to Build On.” And the Logo Competition is also being launched.
This logo competition is part of a series of events which are slated to mark the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of the Organisation in 2023. Moreover, it has also specified several conditions for the competition, which states that the Logo that will be presented must be unpublished and created especially for the competition only.
The sole aim behind this is to riase awareness among citizens of the Community about the role, importance as well as CARICOM’s achievements in the regional integration development agenda over the last half century & to actively engage people in the celebration of the Community’s Anniversary in a way that encourages creativity, inventiveness & learning. It is expected that this will help foster and infuse the CARICOM Identity & Spirit of Community as well as Unity.
It further alerted that the Logo must be in keeping with the slogan as well as must be showing a picture or drawing that elaborates the identity and spirit of CARICOM. It shows the lived experiences of a national community along with evoking pride in the achievement over the past 5 decades & building excitement for CARICOM’s coming 50 years.
It has further announced that the winner of this competition will receive a monetary prize of US$1,500.00. Moreover, the winning logo will get featured on all official documents as well as promotional items for the 50th Anniversary of the Caribbean Community, which includes social media platforms, official documentation, paraphernalia along with the promotional items. Furthermore, the winner will also get an opportunity to have a photograph with the CARICOM Secretary General and will be featured on the social media platform of the CARICOM Secretariat.
