The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica, on Sunday has made a new update on the ongoing work related to progress in the building of the international airport. The information about the above mentioned has been shared by the Dominica International Airport via their official social media handle.
It is to be mentioned that the Dominica International Airport has shared the ongoing update on the site, where the International Airport will be constructed.
Notably, the recent photos shared by the Dominica International Airport has shown growing progress on the land.
While noting the progress of the airport, people have also reacted by adding that, “And the positive beat goes on.God bless this project and see through to completion.”
Several other people have reacted to the update by expressing joy over the construction of the international airport project by adding that, “Blessings on the project.”
Moreover, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, in the past week have also paid the visit to the International Airport construction site in Wesley.
During the visit, PM Skerrit was also joined by the Members of the Cabinet and the Parliament, along with members of the Board of Directors of the International Airport Development Company, and officials of the Montreal Management Consultations (MMCE) and the contracting firm, CRS.
At the same time, PM Skerrit has also paid the visit at the Joe Burton Housing Development, where the Government of Dominica has constructed 31 houses for homeowners who have been affected by the construction of the international airport. Moreover, he had also made an update regarding the development, adding that, “The development includes the construction of 1,100M of roads, drains and sidewalks; installation of underground connections for utilities; provision of water connection to buildings; and the construction of a 500,000-gallon water tank to serve Joe Burton and the greater Wesley community.”
It is to be considered that, PM Skerrit during the visit has also updated that, “A new laboratory is fully equipped for quality control and quality assurance tests associated with the airport development project, including soils, concrete and asphalt testing. Geotechnical surveys and soil analysis are being undertaken by a cadre of qualified engineers attached to the international airport project.”
