St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew appreciates the partnership between the Development Bank of St Kitts & Nevis and the St Peters Football Club. The significant partnership aims to sponsor the new title of the St Peter’s Football Club.
It is a collaboration that will provide vital support and resources to the club by enabling them to nurture talent.
The partnership was sealed with an initial investment of $30,000, presented to the St Peter’s Football Club.
Prime Minister Drew states that the association between the two will provide mentorship and will also create opportunities for the young ambitious athletes.
Reportedly, the partnership between the bank and the SKNFA Premier Division team was announced during a press conference which was held last Thursday on March 14, 2024 at the Atiba Erasto Harris Sporting Complex.
As per the sources, the club will be provided vital support and resources from the bank through the union.
Notably, the St Kitts and Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) is the governing body of football in the nation and control the St Kitts and Nevis football team.
Considering the association between the two PM Drew said that the Development Bank has consistently stood as a beacon of support for sporting development and community enhancement initiatives.
Dr Drew added, “Throughout the years, its dedication to foster talent in sports and uplift communities has set a standard of excellence that is truly commendable.”
Its commitment extends beyond mere sponsorship that embodies a genuine investment in the aspirations and dreams of our athletes and communities alike, stated the prime minister.
The event was attended by the Prime Minister of St Kitts & Nevis and Parliamentary Representative for St Peter’s – Dr Terrance Drew, officials considering management and staff members of the Development Bank, management and players of the St Peter’s FC.
The representatives of the St Kitts and Nevis Football Association which is led by President Atiba Harris and supporters of the football club also attended the event.
