The Moscow Format of Consultations on Afghanistan has taken place in the capital city of Russia, on November 16, 2022, which has called for respect for all ethnic groups of Afghans and minorities for creating national reconciliation in the war-affected nation.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MoFA) of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan(IEA) has released a statement regarding Moscow Format Consultation on Afghanistan. The statement reads as follows, “The Islamic Emirate welcomes and accept positive regional mechanisms on Afghanistan and considers stress on a peaceful, sovereign, united, independent & economically developed Afghanistan in the meeting a praiseworthy stance.”
At the same time, the MoFA has welcomed the decision made by participants during the Consultation, which states that, “Also the participants’ emphasis to increase efforts for the provision of humanitarian & economic assistance to the people of Afghan in the post-conflict reconstruction of the nation is welcomed.”

The MoFA has further shown faith that stability, as well as security of Afghanistan and the region, are connected to each other. Therefore, the government of IEA has reaffirmed to the regional nations that it will not allow any person or group to act against the region’s stability. The government has further stated that they have taken serious steps against all the groups, drug cultivation and trafficking.
The MoFA has further highlighted that it will not allow any third nation to place its land and airspace at the disposal of other countries against Afghanistan.
The Afghanistan government has further shown faith that the security, stability & economic prosperity of the region is the shared responsibility of all regional nations as well as require coordinated efforts. Accordingly, as an important nation in the region, the representatives of the Afghan government in such meetings can make it more comprehensive and effective.
While reaffirming its stance, the MoFA has further expressed its commitment to engage in all areas, including positive ties, economic progress as well a security with the neighbouring, world along with the regional nations.
