The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan has expressed regret over the recent incident of the earthquake in the Java province, of Indonesia. The earthquake has caused massive damage, resulting in huge loss of lives across Indonesia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan took it to Twitter to express grief over the earthquake, which reads as, “IEA-MoFA extends regret at the recent earthquake in Java province, Indonesia, which causes huge human & financial losses and expresses condolences to the government as well as people of Indonesia.
The statement further added that, “IEA suplicates to Allah to grant Jannah to the victims as well as swift recovery to the injured.”
As per reports, the overall death toll due to the earthquake in the primary island of Java of Indonesia rose to 268 on Tuesday, as rescue teams are looking for survivors in the rubbles of the collapsed building infrastructures.
As per the US Geological Survey data, the 5.6 magnitude quake has hit Cianjur town in the Western region of Java.
Meanwhile, the Governor of the West province of Java, Ridwan Kamil, had said that authorities believe that the overall toll of deaths and injuries may likely to rise, as many persons are expected to be trapped under the rubble of collapsed infrastructure.
At the same time, The chief of Cianjur’s local administration, Herman Suherman, said that, “Medical care facilities in the Western region of Java are left with no electricity facility after the earthquake, resulting which doctors and healthcare officials were unable to operate or provide treatment to the wounded person immediately. Whereas, in some places, emergency workers are giving treatment to the wounded people and victims on stretchers and blankets outside hospitals.
