St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew has applauded Minister of Tourism Marsha T. Henderson for organising the Easter egg hunt event on the occasion of easter holidays.
He appreciated the minister Henderson for the great arrangements as the children present at the event had a wonderful time.
PM Drew has shared the photographs in which he can be seen enjoying the event and activities with the kids.
Gladly, PM Drew has expressed his happiness and wrote, “Today on this Good Friday, I felt so good to be among my Labour people and the good people of Constituency #2 at their Easter egg hunt.”
Praising the Tourism Minister Marsha T. Henderson, Prime Minister wrote, “Well done to Marsha T. Henderson, the children had a wonderful time!”
The Easter Egg Hunt event was observed on Friday, March 29, 2024 where he enjoyed the playful activities with the children and celebrated Easter good Friday.
Easter Egg Hunt is a treasure hunt game that is played on the occasion of Easter. During the hunt children look for hidden decorated eggs or Easter eggs.
The real hard-boiled eggs which are dyed or painted, artificial eggs made of plastic filled with chocolate or candies are wrapped with foil and egg-shaped chocolates of various sizes are hidden at various places, as many people give up sweets as their Lenten Sacrifice.
The individuals consume them after having abstained during the preceding forty days of Lent. The game is played outdoors but can also be played indoors.
Easter is a festival which is regarded as the most important of holy days by Christians and in St Kitts and Nevis, the festival is celebrated with two holidays on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
The Good Friday to celebrate Easter was observed on March 29, 2024 whereas, the Easter Monday will be observed on April 01, 2024.
Notably, the date of the holiday changes each year based on the centuries-old calculations that determine the Christian Ecclesiastical Calendar.
