The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, has extended congratulations over the selection of the Roseau Valley constituent Stephan Pascal. It is to be noted that, Pascal has been selected as the Co-Captain for the West Indies U-19 rising stars team.
While taking it to his official social media handle to extend the felicitations over the selection of Stephan Pascal, PM Roosevelt Skerrit said that, “Congratulations and best wishes to Stephan Pascal as he heads to Sri Lanka as Co-Captain of the West Indies U19 Rising Stars.”
Along with Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit’s felicitations, Minister of Finance for the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Irving McIntyre has also taken it to his official social media handle to share the wishes for the West Indies U-19 rising stars team.
Noting to which, Minister Dr Irving McIntyre, said that, “Greetings all. Please join me in wishing our Roseau Valley constituent Stephan Pascal, Captain of West Indies U19 rising stars team a successful tour of Sri Lanka. You have our full support and best wishes.”
It is to be specifically mentioned that, the Cricket West Indies Selection panel has released the list of 15-player squad on Thursday for the tour which includes three 50-over matches and two four-day matches against Sri Lanka U19 at Ragiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium. The matches will take place from August 25, 2023 to September 15, 2023.
During the tour, Stephan Pascal will captain the team for the white-ball matches, while Nathan Sealey will lead the team for the two red-ball matches.
Meanwhile, CWI Talent Pathway Manager, Rohan Nurse, will be the head coach for the team during the tour, with Rohan Clarke as the assistant coach. Along with this, Lead Selector Robert Haynes said the Sri Lanka tour is an important development for the young cricketers.
