The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit on Wednesday held meeting with the Leader of the Opposition and the Parliamentary Representative for the Salisbury Constituency, Jesma Paul. It is to be noted that, the meeting has taken place at the Prime Minister’s office on Tuesday.
While adding about the meeting, the Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit took it to his official social media handle to share the details about the meeting. It is to be specifically mentioned that PM Dr Roosevelt Skerrit has also shared the glimpses of the meeting.
During the meeting, PM Skerrit held discussion with the Leader of Opposition and the Parliamentary Representative for the Salisbury Constituency, Jesma Paul about the Salisbury Health Center, as well as other major issues along with the plans of the government for the entire Salisbury Constituency.
It is to be added that, Prime Minister, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit took it to his official social media handle to share the details about the above mentioned, adding that, “I met with Leader of the Opposition and Parliamentary Representative for the Salisbury Constituency, Jesma Paul at the Office of the Prime Minister on Tuesday.”
Sharing the details about the talks held during the meeting, PM Roosevelt Skerrit noted that, “We discussed the maintenance of farm access roads, the upgrade of the Salisbury Health Center, and the dredging of the Coulibistrie River.”
Notably, Leader of the Opposition, Jesma Paul, during the meeting has also made a case for the assistance to place speed bumps near the Coulibistrie Primary School, installing streetlights in the Salisbury as well as enhancing the Salisbury beachfront in order to speed up the economic activity. PM Roosevelt Skerit, adding about the following, shared that, “Paul also made a case for assistance to place speed bumps near the Coulibistrie Primary School, install streetlights in Salisbury and enhance the Salisbury beachfront to spur economic activity.”
During the meeting, Prime Minister, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit has also made sure to visit Salisbury Constituency soon for first-hand assessment of the project ideas. Noting to which, PM Skerrit said that, “I assured Paul of my intention to soon visit her constituency for a first-hand assessment of these and other project ideas.”
