The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit on Tuesday held meeting with the delegation from the Republic of Cuba on technical cooperation mission to Dominica from April 25 to May 5. It is to be specifically mentioned that PM Roosevelt Skerrit has shared the details of the meeting through his official social media handle.
While sharing the details via his official social media handle, PM Skerrit noted that, “I met today with a delegation from the Republic of Cuba on a technical cooperation mission to Dominica from April 25- May 5 to undertake assessments of the island’s agricultural sector and provide technical advice.”
It is to be specifically mentioned that the Ambassador of Cuba to Dominica, Hugo Ruiz Cabrera was also present during the meeting. The details as well as pictures and glimpses of the meeting and the official delegation from Cuba were also shared by PM Skerrit via his official social media handle.
Notably, via the social media post, PM Skerrit added that, “The delegation is led by Cuba’s Deputy Minister for Agriculture – San Loys Martinez Diosnel, accompanied by three technical specialists from Cuba’s Ministry of Agriculture.”
In the social media post, PM Skerrit has also mentioned about his official visit to the Republic of Cuba in 2022, during which they have inked the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for facilitating the consultation and coordination for empowering technical cooperation on agriculture.
Meanwhile, noting which, he said that, “A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to facilitate consultation and coordination for strengthening technical cooperation on agriculture was signed in August 2022, following my official visit to the Republic of Cuba last year.”
At the same time, Dominica’s Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Blue and Green Economy Ronald Royer, along with Jullan Defoe, Lakeyia Joseph as well as other senior official of the Ministry have accompanied Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit during the meeting.
