St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew has extended his wishes to their neighbouring nation Saint Lucia on the occasion of Independence Day, on Feb 22, 2024. He also mentioned about the theme, ‘Douvan Ansanm: Building a Nation through Unity, Resilience and Creativity.’
While extending his greetings, PM Drew shared and official post on his social media handle and wrote, “I extend heartfelt congratulations to our friends and neighbours in Saint Lucia as you celebrate your Independence Day under the theme ‘Douvan Ansanm: Building a Nation through Unity, Resilience and Creativity’.”
Prime Minister also said that they are with Saint Lucia to celebrate the achievements, “Today, we stand in solidarity to celebrate the achievements and aspirations of Saint Lucia.”
PM Drew added, “May the spirit of unity continue to strengthen your nation, may resilience guide you through challenges and may creativity inspire innovation and growth.”
Reportedly, this year in 2024, Saint Lucia is celebrating their 45th Independence Day and has organised several events to acknowledge the anniversary.
Celebrating the same, the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia Philip J Pierre has congratulated the Saint Lucia Police Force and Uniformed Groups, for putting on such a spectacular display.
PM Pierre said, “The Military Parade is a crowd favourite at Independence and I was truly honoured to be a part of the experience. Happy 45th Independence Anniversary Saint Lucia.”
To commemorate the celebration, the Royal Saint Lucia Marine Unit showcased an exciting ‘Boat Display’ on 45th Independence Day.
Considering this, PM Philip J Pierre said, “Saint Lucians got an opportunity to witness first hand, the skill and also the intensity of the job that our men and women are confronted with on the waters.”
He added, “We salute your bravery and commitment to securing our nation’s borders and the people of our beloved country.”
Saint Lucia has also carried the Independence Baton through the constituency and celebrated the contribution that will add to the rich tapestry.
The journey carrying the baton ended in Babonneau, for which PM Pierre wished all the best to the carriers on their leg through the Constituency.
