Saint Lucia: The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs informed the local public of the continued closure of Castries Wellness Centre. The closures were mandatory as the Ministry seeks to ensure a healthy environment for clients and staff.
Reportedly, the Castries Wellness Centre has been relocated to ensure the quality healthcare services that remain available to the public.
Following are the services that are relocated:
- Service: Medical Clinic
New Location: La Clery Wellness Centre
Days/Timings: Monday to Friday – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday – 8:00 p.m. to 12 noon - Service: Primary Health Care Services by Antenatal clinic, Child Health Clinic, Family Planning, Dressings and Pap Smear
New Location: La Clery Wellness Centre
Days/Timings: Monday to Friday – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - Service: Paediatric Clinic
New Location: Ciceron Wellness Centre
Days/Timings: on 3rd Monday – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (every month) and 4th Monday – 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (every month) - Service: Sexual and Reproductive Health Services
New Location: Ciceron Wellness Centre
Days/Timings: Monday to Friday – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - Service: Dermatology Clinic
New Location: Gros Islet Polyclinic
Days/Timings: Wednesdays (except the 3rd Wednesday each month) - Service: Podiatry Clinic

Notably, the Diabetic Retinopathy Clinic and Colposcopy services will remain completely unavailable and the Ministry will inform the public of the resumption of these services through subsequent communication.
The officials urged the clients to visit the appropriate Wellness Centre for healthcare services and to utilize their nearest community Wellness Centre for care in order to preserve or improve their health.
The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs apologized for the inconvenience that are caused by the changes and thanked the public for its cooperation as we strive to resolve the situation.
