Saint Lucia: A fake account impersonating Prime Minister Philip J Pierre has been detected. The impersonator with the fake account deceived individuals by soliciting money under false pretences.
Showing their concern towards such inappropriate activity the government of Saint Lucia has released an official press note in which they have assured the citizens of the nation, not to be afraid and trust their federation.
Reportedly, the account has been circulating at various platforms that does not represent the prime minister of Saint Lucia Philip J Pierre in any capacity.
It is officially cleared by the Saint Lucian Federation that any social media account that bears the name of PM Philip J Pierre will not ask anyone to send money or banking information or any other personal information.
As per the released note, the officials have urged the public of Saint Lucia to be vigilant. They have urged the people of the country not to engage with any online profile that claims to be associated with the Prime Minister Philip J Pierre.
In any terms if they encounter with the fake account in relation to the prime minister or if anyone is solicited for money or any personal information, that person need to report it immediately to the respective social media platform, to avoid any consequences.
The officials have also mentioned that the assistance in combating the fraudulent activity is very crucial and is protecting the community from potential harm.
Government of Saint Lucia assured the public that they will continue to monitor the situation closely and will take necessary actions to mitigate any further spread of misinformation.
Pierre has also showed his concern towards the issue, as it has formed the wrong image of the country’s prime minister.
Following this some followers of the prime minister Philip J Pierre has presented their views upon increasing fraudulent and has suggested some sites that can curb these issues.
One of the followers of prime minister Philip J Pierre, named Scobell Mathew has shared and anecdote and suggested, “Urb’s Meta supported team aren’t really helping it’s very bad. About a week ago I lost complete access to my account and it shows that it was hacked.
Mathew continued, “All efforts to get it back was not working till when I was recommended to mittstech and he helped me get back my account.
