Saint Lucia: The Government of Saint Lucia has released vacancies for the National Insurance Corporation (NIC) department, which comes under the Ministry of Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs.
The NIC is seeking to fill the position of Customer Service Representative (CSR) to accompany its Customer Service team at its Head Office in Castries.
The CSR will be responsible for providing customers with information regarding the Corporation’s products and services, processing registration and reviewing and evaluating information. It will determine eligibility for the benefits of the NIC administers.

The last date to submit the applications is January 15, 2024.
The selected candidates will perform the following duties:
- To interact with customers to provide support and information on products and services.
- To process the registration of employees, employers, self-employed and voluntary contributors.
- To ensure that all the required documents are submitted and completed accurately.
- To enter the information and update the records on the computer system.
- To conduct the interviews to obtain, clarify and verify information for eligibility for various benefits.
- To review benefit claims for accuracy and completeness.
- To issue relevant letters and statements to customers.
- To ensure that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customer problems and concerns.
- To Provide prompt and efficient service to customers.
The applicants must possess the qualifications and experience of an Associate Degree in Business Administration or equivalent. They must be trained, especially in customer relations. They must have acquired two years of relevant work experience.
To work as a Customer Service Representative a person should have knowledge, skills and abilities to the niche. The applicant must be able to make customers feel comfortable when listening to their complaints.
The eligible applicant should have Strong Interpersonal and customer service skills. They must be excellent in oral and written communication skills.
The applicants must possess the ability to conduct effective interviews with customers and should have proper knowledge of the NIC products and services.
They should have excellent organizational skills along with time management and computing skills. They should be able to work individually and cooperate as a team member.
The applicant should be able to self-motivate himself or herself. It must be dynamic and creative. He or she must be able to make effective decisions and possess problem-solving skills. They should be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite for easy work.
