Dominica’s Ministry of Tourism, International Transport, and Maritime Initiatives of the Commonwealth of Dominica on Tuesday has shared an update related to the Kalinago Experience Pillar of the Ministry- Kalinago Ementchira.
Tourism Ministry took it to their social media handle to share the update among the general public adding that, “Mabrika, Mabrika! We are 1 step closer to completing the Kalinago Experience Pillar of the Ministry of Tourism- Kalinago Ementchira!”
The ministry has mentioned that, “Minister of Tourism Denise Charles, Cultural Consultant Roselyn Paul, Ps Lisa Valmond, as well as DDA staff had the honor in discovering the Kalinago Territory with Cozier Fredrick, the Kalinago Council, Kalinago Chief Lorenzo Stanford, along with other cultural persons from the Kalinago Space.”
Moreover, it added that a series of visits at the sites in the Kalinago Territory was conducted, which added stops at sites with intrinsic, heritage as well as cultural value; Small Tourism Enterprises; and the Kalinago Barana Aute!
The Tourism Ministry of Dominica further added that in order of priority, the main intention is to register all points of the Kalinago Experience & developing an action plan for the development as well as enhancement of sites, enhancement of small Tourism enterprises, storylines, marketing along with the packaging.
The authority highlighted that, “This will further improve the livelihood of our Kalinago people while permitting visitors to get the actual Kalinago experience when visiting Dominica!”
A day earlier, the Tourism Ministry shared an update about one of the significant events of the nation SUNRISE. The ministry has further reassured that this time, it will be bigger than ever. The event has been scheduled to be organized on February 17, 2023 (Friday).
